Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Investment Manager to join our team. The Investment Manager will play an important role in driving our investment strategy, sourcing high-potential opportunities in Web3, AI, and emerging digital technologies. Your focus will be on understanding market trends, technological advancements, and business models to identify opportunities that align with our investment objectives. This position involves conducting thorough market research, assessing investments, and supporting our portfolio companies' growth and innovation. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams and provide support to our portfolio companies to drive growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Analysis & Research: Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes within the Web3 and AI sectors, emphasising their convergence.
• Opportunity Sourcing: Identify and source promising investment opportunities in startups, scale-ups, and mature companies operating in the Web3, AI and other emerging digital technologies space.
• Investment Evaluation: Analyse potential investments by assessing business models, market opportunities, and scalability to support preliminary investment decisions.
• Portfolio Support: Assist in monitoring portfolio performance, provide insights on key metrics, and support strategic initiatives to enhance growth.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and portfolio companies to identify synergies, facilitate collaborations, and drive operational improvements.
• Actively running and managing due diligence processes and relationships with external experts.
• Partnership Development: Scout and establish strategic partnerships that can add value to our investments and portfolio companies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other key stakeholders.
• Thought Leadership: Provide insights on industry developments and contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position the firm as a leader in deep tech investments.

Skill requirements

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, venture capital, or a related field with a focus on technology sectors, particularly Web3 and AI.
• Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of Web3, AI, blockchain technologies, and their convergence.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Market Insight: Proven ability to anticipate market trends and technological advancements.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex formation clearly to various stakeholders.
• Relationship Building: Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
• Leadership: Experience in mentoring or leading junior team members.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., MBA) are advantageous.
• Adaptability: Proactive and flexible approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape.
