About the Role
Exponential Science is expanding its research team at the intersection of advanced modelling, data science, and crypto innovation. We're looking for an exceptional researcher in Quantitative Finance & Crypto Markets to join our team and help us explore signal generation and trading strategies in today's dynamic digital asset landscape.
Responsibilities
You’ll work within our Research & Development team to:
- Design and evaluate data-driven models using historical and real-time data
- Develop pipelines and simulations for signal extraction, market prediction, or arbitrage
- Contribute to research publications and potential product development
- Operate across disciplines — from finance to network theory to blockchain analytics
Requirements
We're interested in individuals with:
- A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields
- Strong programming skills in Python (plus bonus for C++ or other relevant languages)
- A solid grasp of financial time-series, statistical learning, and algorithmic modelling
- Previous experience in developing or backtesting models to identify alpha-generating signals
- Familiarity with crypto markets, DeFi protocols, or on-chain data analysis
- A curiosity-driven mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, exploratory environment
