Role and Responsibilities
We are now looking for a Business Director who will drive the full B2C commercial lifecycle - from market validation through to millions of engaged users.
Market & Consumer Insight
- Quantify consumer segments, needs and willingness to pay in Web3, fintech and data-curious mainstream audiences.
- Track cultural, social-media and regulatory shifts that influence user adoption.
User Acquisition & Growth Marketing
- Own multi-channel growth strategy (organic, paid, referral, community and influencer) to maximise new user registrations, onboarding success and monthly active users.
- Design A/B tests across funnels and touchpoints to improve activation, retention and virality.
Monetisation & Partnership Development
- Define consumer-friendly revenue models (freemium, tiered subscriptions, in-app purchases, affiliate bundles).
- Negotiate distribution, content-creator and brand partnerships that accelerate reach and average revenue per user (ARPU).
Product Feedback & Road-mapping
- Turn consumer feedback and usage analytics into clear feature requirements that boost daily engagement and session length.
- Prioritise mobile-first, self-serve experiences that delight non-technical users.
Community & Relationship Management
- Cultivate an active user community (Discord, X, Telegram, Reddit) that fuels product advocacy, feedback loops and organic growth.
- Identify superfans and convert them into ambassadors or beta advisors.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Set aggressive but achievable B2C OKRs (user growth, churn, CAC/LTV) and orchestrate cross-functional execution.
- Present data-driven insights to leadership, highlighting risks, pivots and high-ROI experiments.
Compliance & Data Governance
- Ensure acquisition and monetisation tactics comply with global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and app-store policies.
- Evangelise ethical data practices that strengthen consumer trust.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy
- Represent the brand in podcasts, livestreams and social threads—translating complex tech trends into clear consumer benefits.
- Publish digestible content (short-form video, blog posts, newsletters) that nurtures an engaged follower base.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Own real-time dashboards for growth, retention, cohort health and monetisation.
- Deliver concise, actionable performance reviews to the C-suite and board.
Skill requirements
- 5–10 years B2C growth or commercial leadership in high-scale consumer tech (SaaS, mobile apps, fintech, or data/insight products).
- Proven track record of taking a product from zero to six-figure (or greater) daily active users.
- Deep understanding of blockchain/Web3 or digital-asset culture and how to communicate its value to mainstream consumers.
- Mastery of acquisition levers: paid social, SEO/ASO, influencer marketing, community building, lifecycle CRM and referral mechanics.
- Data-first mindset: fluent in funnel analytics, retention curves, growth accounting, and cohort modelling.
- Experience designing consumer subscription models and optimising price-to-value alignment.
- Strong negotiation skills with app stores, API/data providers, creators and brand partners.
- Familiarity with global privacy regulations and platform policies that impact consumer marketing.
- Excellent storytelling—able to distil complex ideas into engaging, jargon-free narratives.
- Self-starter comfortable operating with one junior direct report and broad autonomy.
