Job Description

Strategic purpose of the position:

  • The Procurement Excellence Manager is responsible for driving procurement strategic initiatives that deliver value across the organization supporting business objectives.
  • This role will play important role being Project Manager to drive procurement systems, processes, governance and policies, digital roadmap, best practices and continuous improvement across the function globally.
  • The Procurement Excellence Manager supports Sr Manager of CoE of Procurement Excellence in partnering with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost-to-serve optimization and improve functional ROI, mitigate risks, and optimize supplier relationships.

Job responsibilities:

  • Implement procurement functional strategies that align with business objectives and deliver value to the organization.
  • Responsible for procurement systems, processes, and policies, to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, mitigate risks, and optimize supplier relationships.
  • Manage procurement performance metrics and reporting to drive accountability and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead procurement digital programs with clear roadmap and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging procurement trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies to optimize supplier performance, mitigate risks, and drive innovation.
  • Lead sustainable sourcing initiatives to support social and environmental responsibility, including the development of supplier sustainability programs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support the project management office (PMO) in the implementation of procurement-related projects, including ERP rollouts and other procurement technology initiatives.
  • Support the development of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
  • Manage procurement risk assessments and mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Thorough knowledge about governance/policies & procedures
  • Experience with procurement technology platforms, such as eSourcing, eProcurement, and contract management systems.
  • Expert in RFx development & execution and knowledge of e-procurement/e-auction development and execution
  • Solid experience in Supplier Relationship Management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experienced in managing risk
  • Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility

Other skills:

  • Project manager skills both cross functional & cross culture
  • Thorough knowledge of financial instruments and analytical tools
  • Extensive usage of office softwares
  • Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
  • Other language skills (spoken) will be a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience within a strategic & tactical procurement organization at regional or global level
  • International work experience in related function a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Professional procurement certification, such as CPM, CPSM, or CSCP, is preferred.
