  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a deep and practical understanding of federal and state legislation and regulations internally and connect these to key business and commercial strategies, with a focus on ESG and the company’s digital transformation.

  • Develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with Members of Congress and their key staff, the Administration, industry peers, and trade associations to build trust, mitigate potential obstacles, convey the company's priorities, and impact key public policy objectives.

  • Position Avery Dennison as a thought leader in key national and state debates to support our business growth and stability

  • Support the development of policy positions, strategies, and execution of tactics to influence state and federal legislative activity that are strategic to Avery Dennison.

  • Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of the federal and state decision-making processes and ability to identify key stakeholders for Avery Dennison. You ideally have an existing network of decision-makers or are able to develop and leverage such a network effectively in the short to medium term.

  • Demonstrable experience (at least 5 years) building and executing advocacy and engagement strategies, ideally on sustainability or ESG-related themes.

  • Knowledge of existing legislation in the fields of ESG, circular economy, plastics, C02 emissions regulations, apparel, and textiles.

  • Highly customer-focused in approach to teamwork and collaboration, with a great sense of urgency and drive toward achieving goals
