Job Description

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be a key leader responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end customer experience at our Norway site. This encompasses the meticulous planning and delivery of materials, culminating in the seamless shipment of the final product. You will collaborate with the team to develop and execute comprehensive demand planning, material planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management strategies.

This role ensures our site operates with optimal efficiency and meets customer demands cost-effectively. You will cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers and consultants to drive continuous improvement in material and service costs, product quality, and production lead times. Key metrics of success will include enhanced flexibility, heightened reliability, improved inventory turns, and accelerated order turnaround time, along with demonstrable cost savings achieved through supply chain initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop and execute comprehensive demand planning, material planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management strategies.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine supply chain processes to maximize flexibility and reliability for our valued customers, incorporating new and innovative supply chain modules.

  • Demand Planning: Contribute to the demand planning process, collecting and analyzing data to inform the production planning team, including trend analysis and variance identification.

  • Capacity Planning: Collaborate on capacity planning processes for all assets in Norway, based on demand planning insights.

  • Peak Season Management: Strategically manage high demand periods through pre-building, outsourcing, intercompany support, and other innovative solutions.

  • S&OP Participation: Participate actively in the Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between sales, operations, and supply chain goals.

  • Strategic Procurement: Oversee the procurement of essential services and supplies for the organization, including machinery, equipment, tools, and raw materials. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery time.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with suppliers, participating in critical negotiations and ensuring their alignment with our strategic priorities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in the Operations & NTP leadership team, collaborating closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Proven track record of success in supply chain roles, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.

    • Deep understanding of modern manufacturing principles, material flow, and improvement strategies (e.g., ELS, continuous flow, cellular manufacturing).

    • Demonstrated expertise in financial systems and key drivers within the manufacturing sector.

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
