Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Procurement Manager to join our Indirect EMEA Procurement team. In this role, you will drive value optimization from the indirect supply base, focusing on packaging solutions, across Avery Dennison's European business units. You will lead sourcing strategy development for packaging materials as well as tactics to drive standardization and consolidation initiatives to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for packaging materials across multiple business units in Europe.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, negotiation, and value engineering.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive standardization and optimization of packaging specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement activities with overall objectives.
  • Track and report on procurement performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on packaging materials preferable.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across different functions and cultures.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within Europe
  • Fluency in English and preferably one other European language.
