Job Description

The Digital Color Formulation Technician is responsible for

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of digital color formulations for sublimated and embroidered appliqué patches used in sport jerseys, using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW to ensure color accuracy.

  • Use color matching software and spectrophotometers to analyze color data and create customized color solutions for jersey patches.

  • Work closely with the QA and sampling team to understand color preferences and guidelines, providing recommendations to achieve desired color outcomes.

  • Perform color testing to verify the accuracy and durability of patches under various conditions, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.

  • Identify opportunities to improve color reproduction processes, aiming for consistent color quality and efficient workflow.

  • Assist in offering technical support to design, production, and quality assurance teams regarding color-related issues.

  • Maintain documentation of color formulas and procedures for traceability and repeatability in color reproduction processes.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW, a plus!

  • Willingness to learn color matching software and spectrophotometers.

  • Proficient in using color measurement instruments and software for color analysis and matching

  • Strong understanding of color theory, color perception, and color management principles

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure accurate color matching results

  • Must be able to see color.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a related field such as color science, textile engineering or equivalent combination of education and training in garment design and material development for fabrics.

  • 1 - 2 years of proven experience in color matching and formulation, preferably in the manufacturing industry
